As we welcome the cooler months of fall, the City of Creswell is gearing up for a transition to Winter Sewer Rates. Starting October 1st, we’ll shift our billing method for sewer utilities, and we want to ensure that all residents have the details they need to navigate this change smoothly.
New Billing Approach
From October through April, we will measure your actual water usage rather than relying on an average. This means your sewer bill will reflect the precise amount of water you use during these months.
Understanding the Rates
Here’s how the new billing structure works:
For the first 300 cubic feet of water you use, the base rate is $53.30.
After that initial amount, there will be an additional charge of $3.76 for every 100 cubic feet used.
If you’re curious about the conversion between cubic feet and gallons, here’s a quick tip: 1 cubic foot equals 7.48 gallons. Therefore, 100 cubic feet translates to 748 gallons!
Tools and Assistance
To help you with your utility billing calculations, we’ve created a Utility Bill Calculator. You can access it here. Please note that you’ll need Microsoft Excel, and it might prompt you to enable editing for full functionality.
